Description

The Minnesota Army National Guard (MNARNG) has approximately 37,130 pounds gross (35,893 pounds net) of deformed brass casings stored in Gaylord boxes/pallets in one truck load available for sale. Material has been deformed in accordance with DoD instruction 4715.4.



Payment upfront for the entire purchase price, shipment price, or a surety bond that covers the total price bid must be received in order to schedule a brass pickup. The payment or surety bond must be postmarked within 10 business days of notification of award. If applicable, paying upfront for multiple shipments, the first shipment will not be scheduled until the check has been verified in the account, which could take up to 3 weeks. Any subsequent shipment(s) of the brass shall not be scheduled until each check per lot has cleared.



Material shall be scheduled for removal within 5 business days of upon receipt and review of the surety bond or the check being deposited into the account. The ASP Supervisor (or his representative) shall oversee the loading of the pallets and shall annotate the number of Gaylord boxes/pallets, weight of each Gaylord box/pallet and total weight of the load/lot. This total is still only an estimate. The purchaser shall weigh the material after removal and shall provide copies of all weight tickets along with a certification of the scales used. The government's and purchaser's weights shall be compared and reconciled. The purchaser shall provide payment within 14 calendar days of removal of property if payment by the surety bond method. The vendor shall provide their own brass weights once at their facility.

1. Spent small arms brass for recycle, .50 caliber and smaller brass, deformed and certified safe.

2. Spent brass is containerized for shipping in Gaylord boxes/pallets on pallets.

3. Lot, weight gross - spent brass/Gaylord boxes/pallets – 37,130 pounds (approximate).

4. Lot, weight net - spent brass/Gaylord boxes/pallets – 35,893 pounds (approximate).

5. Minimum acceptable bid $1.00 per pound.
