Sealed requests for proposals for the 2023 Vehicle Towing Service Contract will be received by the Department of Public Safety, City of Mankato, 10 Civic Center Plaza, PO Box 3368, Mankato, Minnesota 56002-3368, by mail or personal delivery at the office of the City Manager until 4:30 p.m. Monday, February 6, 2023, at which time they will be opened. A rate sheet shall be submitted with the RFP in a separate sealed envelope and at minimum contain:

The bidder shall submit the proposal according to the instructions and specifications prepared by the city of Mankato.

Bids shall be directed to the City Manager, securely sealed and endorsed upon the outside wrapper “CITY OF MANKATO VEHICLE TOWING SERVICE CONTRACT REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS” and the name of the bidder. If a proposal is to be mailed to the city manager, the bid envelope shall be sealed in a regular mailing envelope. Fax and e-mail bids are not accepted. The City retains the right to waive any informational or irregularity in any proposal received, and to accept the proposal, within its judgement, that is in the best interest of the City and the citizens of Mankato. The award of the contract will be based upon the totality of the evaluation criteria that centers around quality service. The cost of services will not be the sole criteria in awarding a contract. The City reserves the right to reject any and all proposals.
