Improving transportation options and measuring with a Vehicle Miles Traveled (VMT) target is one way for MnDOT to understand progress towards agency priorities around safety, accessibility, equity, sustainability, public health, and reducing emissions causing climate change. MnDOT is committed to working with partners and stakeholders to identify implementation strategies that advance the 20% per capita VMT reduction target. This contract includes facilitating an internal agency stakeholder engagement process to identify implementation strategies that advance the target. It also includes development of internal and external education and messaging materials to build knowledge and skills to effectively communicate about the target.
