Department of Administration, State Designer Selection Board Request for Proposals for Designer Selection for (Project 22-03) New MnDOT Maplewood Certification Testing Lab

Brief description: This project involves the construction of an approximately 9,800 square foot, one story addition to the MnDOT Maplewood certification Testing Lab located at 1400 Gervais Avenue, Maplewood MN 55117. The addition will include four separate lab spaces, one for each of the materials training programs. The lab spaces are standard classrooms (approx.. 1,000 sf each) with lab tables, storage, and seating. Each lab will accommodate approximately 20 students and three instructors. The Design Consultant shall provide the following services:

• Schematic, Design Development, and Construction Documents (including owner’s furnishings)
• Bidding Assistance Services, Cost Estimating Services
• Regulatory Plan Review Submittals and other submittals to jurisdictions as required.
• Construction Administration
• Project Closeout and a 10-month inspection
