Contaminated Materials Assistance for Design Investigation and Construction

Brief Description: State projects within the Metro District have a potential to encounter contaminated soil, groundwater, vapor and/or materials during construction or by acquiring contaminated properties. Each project requires an evaluation of the corridor to determine the existence, location, magnitude, and extent of contamination early in the design process and ahead of construction in order to properly obtain liability protections and plan for construction as determined to be necessary per the work required to complete the project. The Metro District, for various reasons, may advance letting dates, advance shelf-ready projects, or implement design changes, which results in investigations to be completed in expeditious manner. Selected Responder will provide assistance to State in properly identifying contamination during the project design phase, obtain liability protections for properties acquisitions, and manage contaminated materials encountered during highway construction on projects determined by the State Project Manager(s) to be completed under tight time constraints. This Pre-Qualification Announcement will be used to award multiple separate professional/technical contracts (up to three) for contaminated materials assistance for design and construction in the Metro district. State anticipates that selected responders will be awarded one contract per firm that may span multiple years.
