The City of Mankato is requesting quotes for the purposes of determining the preferred vendor that provides the best value for meeting our project needs. All vendors who adequately complete the attached Request For Quotes form will be considered for this project.

The City of Mankato is considering the following projects;

The Mankato Transit System (MTS) hereby solicits Quotes from qualified firms/vendors for plowing, blowing, and/or shoveling of snow in and around designated bus stop areas as shown in the enclosed maps. Work may also include applying sand/grit and/or deicing agents to provide a safe walking area. The successful Responder shall provide all the necessary equipment and tools to achieve the clear and safe walking areas around the various bus stop locations.

The City of Mankato (City) hereby solicits Quotes from qualified firms/vendors for plowing, blowing, and/or shoveling of snow on public sidewalks upon receipt of a list of locations by city staff. The work includes On call sidewalk snow and ice removal.

The City of Mankato (City) hereby solicits Quotes from qualified firms/vendors for plowing, blowing, and/or shoveling of snow around facilities within public parks as shown in the enclosed maps. Work may also include applying sand/grit and/or deicing agents to provide a safe walking area.

The term of the contract will be for a period of months beginning on November 1, 2023 until May 31, 2024.

In order for a vendor to be qualified for this project, the following requirements must be addressed and considered in the submittal of the Request For Quote form.

1. The Contractor shall submit to the City the list of detailed inventory available for the required snow/ice removal at time of quote submission.
2. Submit the necessary insurance within 5 days upon the notice of award or prior to any work started whichever is sooner.
3. Submit all supplementary forms.

The project timeline is expected to start on November 1, 2023 and all contract work completed by May 31, 2024. All payments for this project will be made on a monthly basis. The Contractor shall submit an invoice within 15 days of the preceding month’s work to the satisfaction of MTS. The eventual contract with the City of Mankato and the preferred vendor will outline any agreed upon conditions.

Proposers may be disqualified if any unsolicited contact related to this RFQ is made with an employee or representative of other than the RFQ Administrator during the proposal process.
