Washington County is soliciting proposals to identify and contract with multiple experienced organizations to provide interpreter and translation services. This includes both spoken languages and communication services for people who are D/deaf or hard of hearing. Services in this competitive solicitation process include, but are not limited to:

• Face-to-face Interpretation.
• Telephone Interpretation.
• Video Remote Interpretation (VRI).
• Document Translation Services.

It is the goal of this RFP to award multiple County-wide Service Contracts with qualified organizations for use by various Washington County Departments on an ongoing basis. Departments include, but are not limited to: Community Services, Public Health and Environment, Community Corrections, Parks, Libraries, Sheriff’s Office as well as Property Records and Tax Payer Services.

The County utilizes interpreter and translation services for a variety of needs and scenarios. However, many of the situations involve confidential and sensitive information regarding County residents.

To be considered, respondents must submit a proposal along with other supporting documentation in accordance with the instructions in this RFP. When evaluating a proposal, the review panel will consider how well the respondent has complied with these instructions and provided the required information. Washington County reserves the right to request clarifications from any respondent regarding information in their proposals.

Responses to this RFP should be economically prepared, with emphasis on completeness and clarity of content.
