The Minnesota Department of Transportation (DOT) intends to participate in a project to update the AASHTOWare Bridge Management (BrM) software. The update is to support the changes brought by the National Bridge Inspection Standard (NBIS) and Specifications for the National Bridge Inventory (SNBI). The project includes but is not limited to the design and development of the BrM software, improving product functionality, enhancing the management components, and building sustainability.

DOT has determined that AASHTO is the only organization that provides the AASHTOWare Bridge Management (BrM) software system. This is deemed a single source purchase because AASHTOWare BrM is solely distributed and supported by AASHTO and is not available from other third parties.
