MDA has an agreement with Qualicon Diagnostics LLC to provide one year of service on the BAX® System Q7 cycler/detector, computer and monitor, one year of licensed software upgrades, unlimited phone support, and on-site service from an authorized instrument service provider.
This is deemed a single source purchase because the Microbiology Lab serves our agency’s regulatory divisions. The test methods used by the Microbiology lab in support of regulatory activities require the use of the BAX Q7 system. MDA has determined that Qualicon is the only commercially, reasonable, available vendor to provide these services as these systems are critical to the functioning of the Microbiology unit.
