This is a single source posting notification; there are no solicitation documents for download. Note this posting is not a Request for Bid (RFB) or Request for Proposal (RFP). DPS, Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension Agency intends to award EvidenceIQ.

Evidence IQ will provide Ballistic IQ hardware including annual subscription, online quick start triage training, software unlimited user accounts, warranty support, and rapid ballistic cases.

The required goods/service has been deemed a single source purchase because no other products were available comparable to BallisticsIQ for the purpose and function needed. Other products are available for 2D and 3D comparison technology but those are used for microscopic comparisons by firearms examiners and cost significantly more . A search for automated ballistic triage systems resulted in only Ballistics IQ and NIBIN available. NIBIN does not meet requirement to use for internal comparisons since it is a national program and already in existence with the equipment MN BCA currently uses.
