The Vocational Rehabilitation Services (VRS) division of Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) intends to make a one-time purchase from Minnesota Select Sires for a cow ear tag microchip communications system .

Specifications:

The ear tag microchip communications system provides accurate real time data about a dairy herds fertility, health, nutrition, and location. Measurements are taken by electronic ID for each individual cow. The nutrition, fertility, and health modules within the software package will provide individual alerts for individual cow health, fertility, and nutrition by constant monitoring of activity, rumination, time spent eating, and temperature. This system consists of plug and play components of the ear tag sensor, barn router, and the ability to connect by internet for access to the monitoring software and app.

This purchase has been deemed a single source as Minnesota Select Sires is the only vendor identified that can provide this Cow Management system and is the only source for these ear tags and complete system that will meet th e specific accommodations needs of this VR Participant.
