MNIT intends to renew an agreement for up to 24 months with Rocket Software for licensing, maintenance, and support of the ASG-Document Direct and Mobius-z/OS software. These software tools are used together to generate reports on MNIT’s mainframe, which can be retrieved and viewed via the internet. Additionally, there is also customized code included that allows MNIT’s billing team to send links to customers to allow them to view MNIT invoices.

MNIT has deemed this to be a single source purchase because MNIT has determined that Rocket’s ASG-Document Direct and Mobius-z/OS are the only commercially reasonably available commodity products that meet its business needs. In addition, the necessary maintenance and support are available only through Rocket Software and are not available from any third parties.
