Traffic Safety Strategy Evaluations: Fiscal Year 2024-2029

Brief description: MnDOT requests proposals for planning and conducting evaluations for various existing traffic safety strategies. MnDOT has an ongoing need to study the effectiveness of in-place traffic safety strategies to inform the effectiveness of strategies and to guide future investments in traffic safety to reduce fatal and serious injury crashes. The goal of this project is focused on evaluating the performance of existing traffic safety strategies to help strengthen the state’s data-driven approach for HSIP. The project seeks to use best practices from the Highway Safety Improvement Program Evaluation Guide, Highway Safety Improvement Program Manual, Highway Safety Manual, data analysis experts, and other credible resources to assist the state in building a structured evaluation process for various traffic safety strategies.
