Walk!Bike!Fun! Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety Education Implementation
Brief description: MnDOT requests responses for a contractor to assist with the Minnesota Walk! Bike! Fun! (WBF) Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety Curriculum. This curriculum is designed specifically for Minnesota's schools and youth education programs and is structured to meet Minnesota education standards. It is an essential part of the MnDOT’s Safe Routes to School (SRTS) Program. Since 2013, the MnDOT has been funding the development and implementation of the WBF program statewide to equip educators, schools, and community programs with the information and tools they need to train students to safely walk, bike, and roll to school and in daily life. The goal of this project is to ensure that every student can safely, comfortably, and conveniently walk and bike to school, regardless of their race, cultural identity, tribal affiliation, immigrant or refugee status, language, gender or sexual identity, income, religion, and whether or not they receive special education, have a physical or mental disability, or are homeless or highly mobile. The contractor will work in partnership with existing WBF program and partners to achieve these goals.
