Design Review of Highway Projects in District 6

Brief Description: MnDOT requests responses for conceptual, preliminary, and final geometric layout technical reviews, and detail design construction plan reviews for several highway projects within the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) District 6 Capital Highway Investment Plan (CHIP). The goal of this project is to review multiple facets of highway design, from the technical engineering disciplines such as grading, environmental and utilities coordination and permitting, to traffic control, signing, striping, and signal, along with constructability and construction sequencing/scheduling. The Contractor’s staff will provide comments on whether the elements depicted and specified are at a level that provide a complete presentation of the proposed design. The constructability reviews will be performed simultaneously with the technical design review to evaluate for conformance with the overall goals, objectives, and mitigation requirements of the construction program.
