Research Program Strategic Plan (2023-2027)

Brief description: MnDOT requests responses for assistance with updating and creating the next iteration of its Research Program Strategic Plan. The target date for the completion of the updated Research Program Strategic Plan is June 30, 2023. The goal of this project is to aid the Office of Research and Innovation in aligning its work through 2027. The updated plan will assess and identify: what in the current strategic plan has been accomplished, as well as what has lost value; how ORI can meaningfully identify and operationalize research priority areas into the research process, MnDOT culture, and communicate the value and impact of its research portfolio; alignment with other agency plans and systems; any modifications needed as a result of changes in the agency and national transportation environment; and, recommendations for best uses of the updated strategic plan (e.g., a communications tool, to impact policy and decision-making, to support and ORI staff in developing best practices and systems).
