Question
Will the University have a separate design team designing the process and equipment going into the new building and the design-build design team only designs the right size building and provide the power and water in the building for your equipment to be connected to?
Answer There is a separate design team for the ammonia production system. The design-build team will be designing the new building for either the hydrogen or nitrogen system. If it is the hydrogen system in the new building, water and power will be required. If it is the nitrogen system, only power will be needed.

Question
Are we designing to meet the code or are there portions of the building such as the efficiency of the envelope that we want to surpass the code?
Answer The project needs to design to code. Since this is a equipment shelter, there may be some exceptions to code vs. an occupied building.

Question
Will this building need to show energy code compliance such as a com-check report?
Answer I am not sure how to answer this question at this time. These are equipment shelters, not necessarily occupied spaces.

Submitted 9/20/2023 10:30:04 AM (CT)

Question
Does the user know if the hydrogen or nitrogen production process will be in the new building and what process will stay in the existing building?
Answer This depends on the size of the hydrogen and nitrogen production systems. If either is too large to fit into the existing building, then it will be located in the new building.
Submitted 9/20/2023 10:29:52 AM (CT)

Question
Is there an anticipated size or dimensions of the new building?
Answer The new building will depend on the size of the hydrogen and nitrogen production systems. We anticipate it should be similar in size to the ammonia building.
