Question
What is the winter minimum humidity requirements. Will that vary from room to room or be the setpoint everywhere?
Answer
A humidity range of 40% to 60% is what we are looking for in the facility. This range should be controlled and monitored for deviations since numbers above and below would result in bad bird health implications.
The use of a humidifier has been tested in the past but has not worked due to the low water-holding capacity of the humidifier tanks and the difficulty in controlling and monitoring the humidity without continued supervision.
