The Regents of the University of Minnesota engage an external, independent auditing firm to perform various attest engagements, including audits and agreed upon procedures for the University. The University is in the final year of a contract with Deloitte and is required to issue an RFP to choose an auditing firm. The incumbent firm is allowed to re-bid.

The Regents are seeking to engage a firm (making just one award) to perform various attest engagements, including audits and agreed upon procedures for the University of Minnesota and RUMINCO (Regents of the University of Minnesota Insurance Company), a Bermuda registered insurance company owned by the University.

It is the expectation of the University that work preparing for the June 30, 2024 Annual Statement audit will start immediately upon approval of the awarded contract (estimated to be late 2023 or early 2024).
