Question
Is the consultant to include FFE procurement documents or procurement assistance in their scope?
Answer The consultant will partner with the CPM Interior Designer to recommend and select furnishings available through UMN Purchasing policies. The consultant is responsible to write the detailed specifications necessary for bidding and procurement. CPM will provide form templates required to complete the process which includes specification forms, product sheets and tagged furniture installation plans. The consultant will then partner with the CPM Interior Designer to establish the installation schedule and be available for the punch process.

Page 3, Item 1.2.2 of the RFP indicates that “Respondent should include a new septic system to serve the new fixtures.” At the pre-proposal meeting it was mentioned that the existing septic could potentially be used. Are we to include design services for a new septic? Or can we assume that we will be able to tie in the new underground sanitary into the existing building under slab sanitary sewer lines?
Answer Yes, include design services for a new septic tank. Part of the Predesign will be assessing the capacity of the existing septic system.

2.        If existing soils are groups B-D, is there a preference for the type of on-site reuse of stormwater per B3 requirements?
Answer This Project is required to follow the B3 State of Minnesota Sustainable Building Guidelines (B3-MSBG). The Predesign meetings will inform the University's stormwater prefernces for the type of on-site reuse of stormwater.

Civil-Site Questions:
1.        The DNR wetland inventory map shows likely wetlands around the property. Will a wetland delineation be required and, if so, is that by the design team or by Owner?
Answer Yes, the Respondent will be required to provide a wetland delineation. The successful Respondent will work with the University to comply with Wetland Conservation Act for project-related impacts to wetlands and be adaptable to a framework where the University is also the Local Governmental Unit (LGU).
